"I am a gymnast in my senior year of high school and in September I completely ruptured my achilles. The surgeon who repaired it said it could take anywhere from 6 months, up to a year before I could do gymnastics again and multiple physical therapists agreed. When I got my cast removed, the best decision I made was starting acupuncture. I was willing to do whatever it took to get back to gymnastics and acupuncture was the easiest part of it all, and was so painless while I experienced some discomfort in other areas of my rehab. I noticed a huge difference in just a few short weeks. My range of motion improved drastically and walking became easier and easier. The PT's were shocked and could not explain how I was able to run, jump and even tumble only 3 months after surgery.
